About 70ft Azimut Yacht
Structure and shape of the hull
The structural design of the hull has been RINA approved. This guarantees the structural quality which is enhanced by the use of innovative
materials and technologies. The hull and deck are made with the infusion technique. The traditional technique is used for the deckhouse. The flybridge is made with the infusion technique, starting from serial number 115. Bow and stern, engine room, and crew cabin trays: these are structural trays made with infusion production
technology (the first 2 serial numbers are made with the manual technique).
Fiberglass structures using multiaxial fabrics with a powder binder, and carbon fiber on the flybridge. Neopentilic and isophthalic spray gel coat. PVC foam is used for the sandwich panels on the hull, deck, and superstructures. The engine room bow anti-collision bulkheads are made of structural wood sandwich. DCPD resin was used for the internal layers of the hull and for the superstructures.
Vinylester resins were used for the external layers of the hull (resistance to osmosis and staining, print-through). AZIMUT is, therefore, able to provide a 5-year warranty against osmosis. Planing keel with deadrise 15.6° aft and 22.5°in the middle.
